About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Materials Management and Transportation Manager for its Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fulfillment team in Everett, WA. This role involves managing and integrating employee activities across materials management and transportation, specifically in the delivery customer service role. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual responsible for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. They will acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management to team members, and lead process improvements. Building and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports is crucial. The manager will also provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. This position leads a team of hourly, represented team members in the Supply Chain function and requires a mindset of safety and quality, influencing the team to uphold Boeing Values and Behaviors. Responsibilities include operations factory support, shipping/receiving, material handling, expediting, warehousing, and serving as the Supply Chain contact for off-shift customer support. Multiple shifts are available, including 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 5 am - 1:30 pm) and 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 1:30 pm - 10 pm), with a requirement to be willing and able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, and scheduled/unscheduled overtime to support mission requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Motivated self-started who can work independently and has demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders such as sales, success, product management, and senior leaders
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years leading critical projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5 + years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
  • Demonstrated ability to create shared vision and translate into strategy Implementation
  • Demonstrated capacity to proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
  • Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand
