Senior Materials Management Manager

Senra SystemsCypress, CA
$150,000 - $185,000Onsite

About The Position

At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration. We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed. Role Overview: Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Senior Materials Management Manager will lead all aspects of materials control and inventory operations across our Cypress and Redondo Beach locations. This position is responsible for the end-to-end flow of materials—covering inbound logistics, storage, kitting, production support, and outbound fulfillment—while driving continuous improvement and scalability in alignment with Senra's scaling plan. As a senior leader, you will shape materials management strategy across multi-site operations, advance systems integration between ERP/MES environments, and ensure inventory accuracy and supply availability. This is a pivotal, cross-functional role guiding both tactical execution and strategic development through operational leadership, data analytics, and process discipline.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8–12+ years of progressive leadership in materials, logistics, or supply chain operations within manufacturing or assembly environments (aerospace, defense, or advanced tech preferred).
  • Systems Expertise: Mastery of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) with proven success implementing process automation and system integrations.
  • Operational Mastery: Exceptional ability to blend strategic vision with hands-on oversight across multi-site environments.
  • Process Discipline: Deep understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies for efficiency and error reduction.
  • Leadership Presence: Strong organizational skills and communication ability at both executive and team levels. Demonstrated success driving alignment across operations, engineering, and finance.
  • Physical & Onsite Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain regular engagement within production and warehouse areas.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Process Leadership: Define and implement advanced materials management strategies, workflows, and SOPs to maximize efficiency, traceability, and throughput across all facilities. Lead ERP/MES system integration and process automation initiatives.
  • Inbound Logistics Oversight: Oversee vendor receipts, inspection standards, and material put-away processes. Establish metrics for supplier performance, quality control, and material handling optimization.
  • Production Materials Management: Direct materials planning, staging, and kitting functions to meet dynamic production schedules. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering partners to ensure just-in-time (JIT) readiness.
  • Outbound Logistics & Fulfillment: Manage cross-site shipping execution and outbound material flow to customers and partner sites. Enhance packaging standards, shipping accuracy, and delivery performance metrics.
  • Multi-Site Operations Excellence: Design and standardize inventory control systems, storage layouts, and physical validation programs across both locations. Implement centralized visibility tools and cross-site reporting frameworks.
  • Performance Analytics: Establish KPIs covering inventory turns, asset utilization, cycle count accuracy, and fulfillment efficiency. Drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams of supervisors and coordinators. Foster accountability, technical growth, and cross-functional collaboration within the materials organization.
