About The Position

Responsible for setting up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for keeping the Douglas department supplied with necessary materials for production and ensuring finished products are moved out. This role requires adherence to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. The position involves monitoring the production area for trash and debris on the floor and performing various other tasks as assigned by lead personnel, supervisors, or superintendents. A key responsibility is to read the production schedule, compare it to the product currently being processed, and record this information on the product check sheet.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program.
  • Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
  • Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product and place into specified location.
  • Must be willing and able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on a concrete floor, including bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have 6 months continuous employment in the last 18 months.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience.
