About The Position

USEMCO Inc. in Tomah, WI, is seeking a Materials Clerk to join our team in the WEM Department. The WEM Department specializes in custom fabrication and machining for various customers. Employees are exposed to difficult projects and work together to complete the task with confidence. This department has a fast-paced manufacturing atmosphere where orders can come in the morning and could typically be delivered to the customer that afternoon. Requirements

  • Requires education generally equivalent to 4 years of high school and 1-year related experience in receiving and stock keeping procedures and inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of general or background in Machine Shop practices a plus.
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions and written materials relating to receiving, stock keeping, inventory control and safety procedures.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to make calculations and maintain and interpret charts relating to statistical process control.
  • Must possess good oral communication skills to discuss inventory control issues with employees and work with customers daily.
  • The employee must have a good working knowledge of computers and using a calculator.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of general or background in Machine Shop practices a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory – Counting, organizing, adjusting quantities in the system, location changes.
  • Blasting – can lift up to 50lbs repetitively, loading and unloading the Roto blaster.
  • Stocking – pulling parts out of storage shed and assembly, to refill parts on shelves.
  • Material handling/delivery – taking material to each work cell as needed, by pallet jack or forklift. Saw operations for material needs.
  • Shipping/receiving – handling materials coming in from vendors, sorting and moving to appropriate locations, handling packlists and filing receivers.
  • Professionally contact customers and vendors with orders, for requests, questions and asking for additional details.
  • Detail oriented with paperwork on customer orders.
  • Producing work orders for the shop floor.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
