About The Position

We are seeking a Material Stager, 1st Shift to join our federal team at our York, PA (Grantly Plant) location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient movement of materials throughout the plant. It includes handling, storing, issuing, and delivering parts and materials to designated points of use across the manufacturing facility. Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and organized 6S environment. Responsible for participating in continuous improvement and Lean Kaizen Events. Understanding the criticality of proper quality-controlled documentation. Responsible for reviewing and signing timecards weekly. Maintaining an active Electrostatic Devices (ESD) certification. Responsible for operating overhead cranes and rigging. Accountable for adhering to and promoting compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Requirements

  • 1-5 years of related experience in manufacturing
  • Warehouse storekeeper experience
  • Material handling experience
  • Shipping/Receiving experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in forklift operations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Technical knowledge
  • Communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Forklift/stand-up certification (To be obtained)
  • Crane certification (To be obtained)
  • ESD certification (To be obtained)
  • PPC/SPCC certification (To be obtained)

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document quality-controlled tasks according to established standards
  • Maintain precision and consistency to ensure high-quality, repeatable results
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of materials throughout the plant
  • Deliver materials to designated work areas and points of use
  • Fill flow racks/bins throughout the plant
  • Work from orders, bills of material/lading, move tickets, schedules, and route sheets
  • Engineering Change Notice (ECN) kit corrections
  • Verify quantities and identify materials/items
  • Daily cycle counts
  • Replenish kit shortage sheets
  • Collect, expedite, store, and assign bin/surge locations
  • Load/unload over the road transport vehicles (Inside or outside locations)
  • Securing/banding and shrink wrap of product
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation by utilizing the current Material Release Program (MRP) system (Costpoint)
  • Ensure material transactions are accurately completed
  • Report incorrect quantities, shortages, and damaged materials
  • Perform all required storekeeping functions
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
  • Operating overhead cranes and rigging
  • Adhering to and promoting compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols
  • Reviewing and signing timecards weekly
  • Maintaining an active Electrostatic Devices (ESD) certification
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organized 6S environment
