About The Position

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for adapting to changing priorities, meeting and running standards, and handling materials. The role involves shoveling loose materials into machine hoppers, vehicles, and containers, and reading work orders or following oral instructions to determine materials to be moved. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

HS diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months related experience / training or combination
Able to read and comprehend safety rules, operating/maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
Able to present information to individuals/groups/clients by reports or correspondence
Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers, use fractions, decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent into bar graphs
Candidates must have a work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Able to adapt to changing priorities (different machine, team, product) or volume
Able to meet and run standards
Shovels loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals, into machine hoppers into vehicles and containers such as wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels
Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
Other duties as assigned
