About The Position

This position monitors, issues, receives, delivers, and stocks Central Services inventory items to help ensure customers have the items needed for patient care. The role uses computer systems to enter materials management information and requires decisiveness, attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, excellent communication, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work independently to assist customers. The technician is responsible for inventory management in assigned floor and charge stock areas, filling and delivering supplies, maintaining accurate par levels, communicating supply needs, and performing cycle counts. The position also requires compliance with HMHD’s Compliance Plan, Code of Conduct, corporate integrity and compliance training, and HIPAA standards. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Materials Management.

Requirements

Experience and skills equivalent to acquiring a high school diploma.
Computer skills for entering materials management information.
Strong mathematical skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to be decisive and detail-minded.
Ability to problem-solve and work independently to assist customers.

Nice To Haves

Professional certification.
Associate degree plus two years of purchasing experience.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.

Comply with all HIPAA standards.
Count and maintain floor and charge stock inventory management areas within assigned responsibility.
Accurately check and fill floor stock.
Issue, fill, and deliver requisitioned supplies to assigned departments.
Maintain accurate par levels in areas of responsibility.
Communicate supply needs.
Perform cycle counts in stock locations as required.
Perform duties assigned by the Director of Materials Management.
