About The Position

Hilco Vision is seeking an experienced Material Handler for its Fairfield, Ohio facility. The role supports manufacturing operations by conducting put-aways, transferring shipments to designated areas, and replenishing materials for the department. The scheduled hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Material Handler may also perform Packaging Operator tasks when directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with customer needs as a priority.
• Follow organizational safety practices and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
• Demonstrate attention to detail regarding quality assurance and production processes.
• Understand basic operations within a production facility.
• Able to track inventory, perform basic math calculations, and report critical information to a supervisor.
• Comfortable using a ladder.
• Able to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Certified forklift operator or able to pass certification upon arrival.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with a reach truck and cherry picker.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver raw materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or cart to support efficient line operations; perform line clearance and set up for changeovers.
• Replenish production lines with raw materials and track related inventory using the inventory control system.
• Perform quality assurance checks on finished goods, wrap pallets using automated pallet wrap, receive goods into inventory using the inventory control system, and move them to designated locations.
• Label boxes accurately and neatly according to customer specifications.
• Track job-run progress to avoid over-runs and ensure new jobs are prepared for efficient changeovers.
• Organize raw material inventory according to job specifications and quantities.
• Account for and return unused raw materials to inventory.
• Perform tasks required of a Packaging Operator when directed by a supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as directed by a supervisor and other duties as needed.
