About The Position

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Coatings team in Greenville, OH. As a Material Handler working the 3rd shift, you will lead in keeping production moving in your daily tasks. We value safety first and foremost as our number one priority over all else. As a Material Handler, you will create Chemistry by loading and off-loading packaged materials, staging materials to support production, operating powered industrial such as forklifts and yard tractors, maintaining assigned inspections equipment and housekeeping duties, advancing to be multi-functional and knowledgeable regarding department tasks for Material Handlers, being willing to work in and as a part of a continuously developing team -oriented atmosphere, assisting other team members as workflow dictates and demonstrating a steady work pace with changing priorities, advancing skills and knowledge in relation to department duties is also required. Supporting Process Safety programs through participation in compliance audits, Pre-Start up Safety Reviews, PHAs (Revalidations; Clean-Sheets) and other hazard / risk assessment activities; utilize available, participating in process safety training, related incident investigations and completing assigned action items in a timely manner, accepting personal responsibility to act according to process safety regulations and company directives, and demonstrating understanding of primary hazards in work area and the safeguards in place to manage them as this is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse setting preferred
  • Hazardous Materials Handling Certification CFR49
  • Material handling, forklift and yard tractor operation, and experience with handling chemicals preferred.
  • Strong safety commitment, teamwork skills, and a self-directed work ethic
  • Ability to lift to 55lbs
  • Familiarity with material handling safety/hygiene issues
  • Computer skills to accomplish training opportunities
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
