Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a forklift efficiently around the production warehouse and in and out of semi-trucks.
  • Reviews daily schedule of production work orders and stages all required raw materials for operators.
  • Maintains an organized warehouse storage system.
  • Adheres to WMC’s quality management system.
  • Inspects product load for accuracy and safely moves it around the warehouse to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Sorts product before loading and unloading.
  • Manually or mechanically loads or unloads materials from pallets or other transport vehicles.
  • Secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Works closely with BDB employees to maintain the required inventory levels at Moore Street as stated by SCM.
  • Moves controls to drive propane-powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Understands and follows all WMC Health & Safety Practices.
  • Reports all injuries and unsafe work conditions.
  • Attends mandatory safety training and requests additional training as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
