Requirements

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software like SAP/Oracle(bonus points) or QuickBooks for data entry and real-time inventory updates.
  • Certification and proficiency in operating forklifts (sit-down/stand-up), electric pallet jacks, hand trucks.
  • Competence in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for verifying counts, weight measurements, and stock quantities.
  • Knowledge of essential shipping documents, such as Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous observation to spot damaged goods, incorrect SKU numbers, or missing items in large deliveries.
  • Capability to troubleshoot shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, or equipment malfunctions independently.
  • Clear verbal and written skills to interact with truck drivers, and internal departments like purchasing or sales.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (regularly up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs) and stand for long periods (8-12 hour shifts).
  • Physical ability for bending, kneeling, and reaching to unload or organize inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to accurately match incoming shipments against purchase orders (POs), packing slips, and invoices.
  • Ability to manage a steady flow of inbound freight, prioritize tasks, and keep the receiving dock and warehouse clean and orderly.
  • Flexibility to handle shifting priorities, such as late truck arrivals, sudden or late orders and working overtime on the weekends (when needed).
  • Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
