About The Position

TrueNorth Steel is hiring a Material Handler to support general handling, movement, and loading of steel in the Coating Department at its West Fargo, North Dakota site. The role handles materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and similar equipment. Materials may be unloaded from incoming shipments, loaded for outbound shipments, or moved and distributed to various fabrication operation areas. The position requires safe and efficient equipment operation, adherence to company safety and quality requirements, communication with team members, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. The scheduled shift is 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with Friday overtime from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. as needed. The stated pay rate is $23.46–$25.00+ per hour, depending on experience, plus a full benefits package.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to identify materials.
Strong organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read a tape measure in imperial and metric units.
Ability to work with others.
Accountability, accuracy, honesty and integrity, initiative, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
