About The Position

The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by maintaining the flow of materials and finished products, assisting the Packer/Inspector, and helping keep equipment and work areas clean and safe. The position works the D Shift from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule, including every other weekend.

Requirements

• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50-pound material containers.
• Manual dexterity.
• Instruction or training in pertinent areas related to the position.
• Good Documentation Practices.
• Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Forklift training or ability to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience as a material handler or service in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervision staff.
• Assist the Packer/Inspector with duties and relieve them for breaks and lunch.
• Clean auxiliary equipment during mold changes, including the grinder, dryer, hopper/loader, and conveyor.
• Keep material supplied and identified to and from the warehouse.
• Remove finished product to the staging area.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety.
• Check and clean the vacuum hopper loader filter as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
