Night Shift Material Handler

About The Position
Biomerics is a manufacturer of polymer solutions and medical devices for the medical device and biotech industries. The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by supplying and identifying materials, moving finished product, assisting Packers/Inspectors, and maintaining equipment and housekeeping standards. The role works the D Shift, 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule and requires every other weekend.
Requirements
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50-pound material containers.
- Manual dexterity.
- Instruction or training in pertinent areas related to the position.
- Good Documentation Practices.
- Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Forklift training or the ability to obtain it.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
- Previous material-handler experience or service in a manufacturing setting (preferred but not required).
Responsibilities
- Communicate with supervision staff.
- Assist Packers/Inspectors with their duties.
- Relieve Packers/Inspectors for breaks and lunch.
- Clean auxiliary equipment during mold changes, including grinders, dryers, hoppers/loaders, and conveyors.
- Keep material supplied and identified to and from the warehouse.
- Move finished product to the staging area.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety.
- Check and clean the vacuum hopper loader filter as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
