About The Position

Eads Cooling Solutions is seeking a Material Handler to perform a variety of material handling functions in a manufacturing environment. The role includes operating forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts, and other material-handling devices. The Material Handler supports safe and efficient movement of raw materials and finished products, communicates professionally with delivery personnel, inspects equipment and rigging, and maintains a clean, hazard-free workspace.

Requirements

Six months to one year of experience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment.
Forklift, crane, and other lifting-device certifications.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to frequently reach, lift, sit, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, squat, bend, and balance.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial orientation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to use reason to solve problems.
Pride in work product and commitment to completing quality work daily.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate various sizes and types of forklifts.
Operate bridge and jib cranes.
Communicate and interact professionally with truck drivers and other delivery personnel.
Inspect equipment daily and complete the appropriate documentation.
Rig loads appropriately for lifting and inspect rigging.
Determine the appropriate process for moving raw materials or finished products in each situation.
Follow job safety analyses (JSA), work instructions, and identified personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Work safely and look out for the safety of the team.
Keep the workspace clean and free of hazards.
Identify defective items and handle them accordingly.
Complete other duties as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
