About The Position

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an entry-level Material Handler to perform warehouse operations. The role operates powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and transport them to packing or shipping areas. It involves order fulfillment, receiving, inventory, stocking, facility upkeep, and following safety procedures. The position requires the ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with moving mechanical parts, occasional fumes or airborne particles, varying temperatures, and usually loud noise.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Certified sit-down forklift operator.
Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good record-keeping and listening skills.
Accurate measurement capability.
Ability to understand and speak basic English.
Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pull and assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness, and convey orders to packing or shipping areas.
Perform inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor products, maintain displays, move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
Receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, and process customer returns.
Notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
Operate forklift and order picker equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, removing trash, and maintaining restrooms and general office areas.
Follow safety rules and report accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts to management.
Perform other related duties as required.
