About The Position

Eads Cooling Solutions is seeking a Material Handler to perform a variety of material handling functions, including operating forklifts, a scissor lift, jib crane, bridge crane, and other material handling devices. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer service while handling raw materials and finished products.

Requirements

Six months to one year of experience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment.
Certifications for forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to perform frequent reaching, lifting, sitting, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and balancing.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial orientation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to use reason to solve problems.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate various sizes and types of forklifts.
Operate a bridge crane and jib crane.
Communicate clearly and interact professionally with truck drivers and other delivery personnel.
Inspect equipment daily and complete the appropriate documentation.
Rig loads appropriately for lifting and inspect rigging.
Determine the appropriate process for moving raw materials or finished products in each situation.
Follow job safety analyses (JSA), work instructions, and identified personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Identify defective items and handle them accordingly.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and look out for the safety of the team.
Complete quality work and perform other related duties as assigned or directed by a supervisor.
