About The Position

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months.
  • English proficiency (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
  • Current or prior MHE certification.

Responsibilities

  • Picking orders using a pallet jack, staging products, and stacking, packaging, banding, shrink wrapping, and labeling products.
  • Verifying products and/or orders meet quality standards, reporting damages or discrepancies, and stacking, packaging, shrink wrapping, and labeling products.
  • Executing all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and complying with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
  • Operating equipment such as a pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner, following prescribed work methods, and reporting equipment problems.
  • Performing or assisting in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Working overtime as dictated by business needs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
