Orgill Rome Distribution Center is seeking Material Handler Positions to join our team! We are hiring in Inbound, Order Filling, and Shipping Departments – Full-Time Positions - 2nd Shift - $19.75 plus $1.50 shift differential. Requirements

  • High School diploma preferred
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
  • Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently picking merchandise located in all order filling zones and labeling each carton in a manner which promotes ease of identification and scanning.
  • Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently sorting, scanning, staging and wrapping merchandise. Department Material Handler also checks merchandise and ensures the product is loaded and checked in the proper delivery sequence by customer stop code.
  • Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by, efficiently stocking inbound merchandise to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently scanning, receiving, and staging inbound merchandise accurately and in a timely manner. Sorts the merchandise by department, restacks, and wraps the pallets to ensure that product is ready to be transported to the appropriate staging area.
  • Accurately pick and label merchandise from primary pick locations.
  • Accurately identify units of measure.
  • Identify correct merchandise and account for damaged merchandise.
  • Prepare orders for transport to customers.
  • Meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Take direction from Supervisor.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and reliable predictability.
  • Adhere to DC housekeeping guidelines.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
