About The Position

This position is responsible for various tasks within the shipping and receiving department of a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring timely delivery of products by following sales orders and production schedules, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to quality management systems. The Material Handler will operate machinery, manage inventory, and communicate effectively via radio.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
1-5 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment preferred
Must be able to read and write legibly in English
Must be able to speak in English via a two-way radio
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Forklift Experience Required – Sit down and Reach truck
Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions

Nice To Haves

Computer skills and knowledge of MRP systems preferred

Responsibilities

Band, shrink-wrap and stage units for shipment, and load staged units onto truck
Transport units from assembly to shipping area
Follow shipping and packaging work instructions
Follow sales order by dates to ensure on time delivery goals are met
Pick and pack UPS shipments
Process all dunnage to include scrap pallets and returnable
Check hot sheet daily
Report inventory discrepancies
Exercise safe working habits while operating machines
Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards
Comply with the Quality Management System
Regular attendance and other duties as assigned
