About The Position

The Material Handler safely and efficiently supplies the plant with packaging and raw materials, removes finished goods from production and places them into storage, and loads and unloads trucks. This is a 12-hour midnight shift, typically scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess, or be able to develop, a high degree of forklift operation skills.
• Must be trainable to operate tractors and move trailers around the yard and into truck bays.
• Able to lift, carry, and repeatedly stack boxes weighing 20–50 pounds during the shift.
• Able to push or pull up to 100 pounds at times during the shift.
• Able to safely operate a forklift in congested areas.
• Able to work accurately with numbers and maintain orderly, accurate records.
• Able to perform computer transactions with a high level of accuracy.
• Able to perform repetitive hand and arm motions for extended periods and use ladders.
• Able to interact professionally with various departments, customers, and carriers.
• Able to work under time pressure and perform several tasks at the same time.
• Able to perform inventory tasks such as cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Able to learn the operation and troubleshooting of robotic palletizers.

• Prior warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supply the plant with packaging and raw materials.
• Remove finished goods from production and place them into stock or storage.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Stack pallets neatly and proficiently in various types of racking.
• Receive inbound shipments.
• Perform inventory counts, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Maintain general warehouse housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
