About The Position

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company, is hiring a Material Handler at its Beatrice, Nebraska location. The role supports purchased-parts markets by managing inventory visibility, communicating potential shortages, maintaining market layouts and standards, and helping implement process changes. The Material Handler also handles purchased parts using mobile equipment as needed and applies Lean methodologies to support safe, controlled, and continuously improving processes. The listed schedule is 1st shift, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, with pay of $22.97.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with others.
High attention to organization and detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create and follow standard work and procedures.
Previous forklift experience and/or ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 40 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Create and execute visual management of inventory levels in purchased parts markets.
Communicate potential shortages to cycle counters and/or material coordinators.
Ensure purchased-part markets conform to the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) layout.
Develop and maintain 5S standards for parts markets, including assisting with standard-work updates, training, and audits when appropriate.
Update market metric boards daily.
Create and support process changes to purchased-parts markets, including new parts, stock utilization, and identification of obsolete parts.
Perform Kanban card audits.
Assist with the physical layout and implementation of purchased-parts markets.
Handle purchased parts as needed using mobile equipment.
Perform duties safely and efficiently.
Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
