About The Position

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company, is a leading manufacturer of commercial mowers and equipment for landscape professionals. The Material Handler supports purchased-parts inventory markets by maintaining visual inventory controls, ensuring market layouts follow the Plan for Every Part (PFEP), and assisting with material handling and process improvements. This is a first-shift position in Beatrice, Nebraska, with hours of 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and pay of $22.97.

Requirements

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with others.
High attention to organization and detail.
Ability to create and follow standard work and procedures.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Previous forklift experience and/or ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 40 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Create and execute visual management of inventory levels in purchased parts markets.
Communicate potential shortages to cycle counters and/or material coordinators.
Ensure purchased-part markets conform to the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) layout.
Develop and maintain 5S standards for parts markets; assist with updating standard work, training to standard work, and auditing when appropriate.
Update market metric boards daily.
Create and support process changes to purchased-parts markets, including new parts, stock utilization, and identifying obsolete parts.
Perform Kanban card audits.
Assist with the physical layout and implementation of purchased-parts markets.
Handle purchased parts as needed using mobile equipment.
Perform duties safely and efficiently.
Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
