About The Position

The Material Handler/forklift driver is responsible for accurately receiving and storing products while meeting company standards for safety, productivity, and quality. The role also moves materials to storage areas and maintains and cares for the yard.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, at $21–$23 per hour depending on experience. The role requires working overtime as needed and working both indoors and outdoors in different seasons, including winter and summer. Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Ability to use and read a measuring tape.
• General understanding of safety protocols.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors across seasons, including winter and summer.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual ability; preferred but not required.
• Loading and unloading experience; highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers.
• Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Label, sort, wrap, and pack materials.
• Read work orders and determine work assignments and material or equipment needs.
• Transport products to storage areas using appropriate equipment, and stack and store products efficiently.
• Record the number of units handled or moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent items from shifting or being damaged.
• Maintain equipment storage areas to protect inventory.
• Carry tools or supplies from storage areas or trucks and return them after use.
• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks or working with equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain and care for the yard.
