About The Position

The Material Handler performs a variety of warehouse and yard functions, including pulling and preparing customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, and keeping products clean and organized. The role works indoors in the warehouse and outdoors in the yard as business needs require, and uses a forklift to move product when needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with pay of $18–$21.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
At least one year of experience in a warehouse or yard position.
Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Ability to read and write and perform essential math functions.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience.
Experience with building materials.

Responsibilities

Work inside the warehouse and outside in the yard depending on business needs.
Load trucks for outgoing shipments.
Unload inbound product.
Pull and prepare customer orders and package them for shipment.
Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Rotate product and safely move it using a forklift when needed.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work with the team to support branch success and provide excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.
