About The Position

The Material Handler/forklift driver is responsible for accurately receiving and storing products to meet company standards for safety, productivity, and quality. The role moves materials to storage areas and helps maintain and upkeep the yard. This position works Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and pays $21–$23 per hour depending on experience. The employee must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors across different seasons, including winter and summer, and must be able to work overtime as required. Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior forklift experience.
Ability to use and read a measuring tape.
General understanding of safety protocols.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Comfort working both indoors and outdoors across different seasons, including winter and summer.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.
Loading and unloading experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers.
Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
Label, sort, wrap, and pack materials.
Read work orders and determine work assignments or material and equipment needs.
Transport products to storage areas using appropriate equipment, and efficiently stack and store products.
Record the number of units handled or moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent items from shifting or being damaged.
Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure inventory is protected.
Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks or working with equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
