About The Position

Packaging Services Industries, Inc. (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes, established in 1976. With three plants in the Mid-Atlantic region and over 350 employees, PSI is committed to tailoring products to customer needs and providing exemplary customer service. The PSI Group in McAdoo, PA, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. This is a full-time position responsible for the safe loading, unloading, storage, and transportation of materials and finished goods within the manufacturing facility. This includes operating equipment such as fork trucks, turret trucks, manual pallet jacks, and powered pallet jacks, as well as manual material movement when necessary. Good attendance is essential.

Requirements

Safety First Mentality
Ability to work core schedules: Monday through Thursday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm and Friday 6:00 am to 10 am.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Knowledge of safe fork lift operations.
Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
Physical ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Physical ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch or kneel for extended periods of time.
General knowledge of computer and bar code scanning systems.
Willingness to make a commitment of time and effort to become part of a team producing quality corrugated boxes in a safe, drug free environment.

Nice To Haves

3 - 5 years Fork Lift Operator/Material Handler experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in operating fork lifts in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely load, unload, store, and transport materials and finished goods.
Operate fork trucks, turret trucks, manual pallet jacks, and powered pallet jacks.
Move materials manually when required.
Utilize computer and bar code scanning systems.
