About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for cleaning and maintaining material system filters, hoppers, grinders, blenders, regrind bins, colorant bins, and material hoses. This role also involves the hook-up and set-up of auxiliary equipment, performing minor preventative maintenance, and executing color changes on molding machines. Additionally, the Material Handler will fill surge, colorant bins, and hoppers, pull, weigh, and return materials, and monitor inventory of various supplies, replenishing the production floor as needed. This position also includes moving production to the Warehouse, making cartons, distributing them to presses, and maintaining an adequate supply of empty cartons. Responsibilities extend to emptying trash, weighing scrap daily, analyzing and resolving material-related problems, and grinding rejected production. The role requires completing and verifying necessary SAP and Mobisys transactions for all raw and finished materials. Some responsibilities may differ depending on the location.

Requirements

Experience with SAP and Mobisys transactions.

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains all material system filters daily.
Cleans hoppers, grinders, blenders, regrind bins, colorant bins and material hoses for all material/color changes.
Responsible for the hook-up and set-up of auxiliary equipment.
Performs minor preventative maintenance on some auxiliary equipment.
Performs color changes on molding machines.
Fill all surge, colorant bins and hoppers.
Pull, weigh and return materials.
Monitor inventory of colorant, cartons, bags, pallets, tape and other supplies and supply production floor with additional supplies as needed.
Move production to the Warehouse.
Make cartons and distribute to presses as well as maintain proper number of empty cartons at each press.
Empty trash and weigh scrap daily.
Analyze and resolve material related problems.
Grind rejected production on and off the production floor.
Complete/verify necessary SAP and Mobisys transactions for all raw and finished materials.
