About The Position

Moves, processes, ships, receives, and controls raw donations, salvage and/or recycling inventory and stored inventory. This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of donated goods, assisting the team with required materials, processing and controlling inventory, and loading/unloading tractor trailers. The Material Handler also operates equipment like a baler and lift tables, performs janitorial duties, and maintains a clean work area. Additionally, the role involves participating in required training, managing time effectively, contributing to team success, monitoring security risks, ensuring customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and addressing issues, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The Material Handler is expected to embrace LLGI's values, vision, and mission, build positive workplace relationships, and learn new job-related information.

Responsibilities

Moves, processes, ships, receives, and controls raw donations, salvage and/or recycling inventory and stored inventory.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of donated goods between the processing, storage, dock areas and salvage.
Assist team in providing required materials for production.
Process and control inventory following established procedures.
Load and unload tractor trailers with donated goods.
Operate a baler, and lift tables in accordance with OSHA and LLGI standards.
Perform janitorial duties.
Maintain a clean and organized work area including assisting with trash and salvage removal.
Participates in required training.
Effectively manage time to ensure that work is completed.
Contributes to team success by involving others in work processes, decisions and actions.
Monitors and recognizes security risks and thefts and assists in their prevention.
