About The Position

This is a full-time position with a set schedule. The Material Handler is responsible for properly handling materials at a site and responding to customer-specific needs and requests in a timely manner. The role involves safely packaging, labeling, and loading biohazardous waste; supporting solid-waste and recycling material-handling needs at on-site and remote locations; and completing required logs and documentation. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the pay is $15 per hour.

Requirements

Most sites require a valid driver's license.
Most sites require forklift experience.
Most sites require pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

Safely perform activities involving the proper packaging, labeling, and loading of biohazardous waste.
Operate equipment as required by the site.
Respond to material-handling needs related to solid waste and recycling at on-site and remote locations.
Comply with required personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in waste-handling areas.
Ensure medical waste is properly disposed of, where applicable.
Verify that logs, including Chem Clav, weights and temperatures, and spore testing, are complete, accurate, and adequately documented.
Complete required documentation and signatures, including documentation for destruction.
Clear and dispose of recycling material in various locations.
Record delivered units and their locations when documenting the disposition of materials and supplies.
Adhere to communication standards assigned by the site.
