About The Position

This is a 1st Shift Material Handler position. The role involves operating forklifts, operating balers, and manually loading tires. Employees will need to bring steel-toed boots, gloves, HV vests, and safety glasses. A current state or valid state ID is also required. This position could convert to full-time if in good standing after 60-90 days, which includes full benefits and an additional $.50/hr raise. Forklift training will be provided onsite. The work schedule rotates using a Pitman schedule and involves 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend off. The work environment is primarily at a tire manufacturer with exposure to various weather conditions and physical elements such as dirt, odors, and noise. All Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma, GED, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to work 1st shift hours.
• Must bring steel-toed boots, gloves, HV vests, and safety glasses.
• Must have a current state or valid state ID.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience preferred, but not necessary as training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Move materials manually and via forklift.
• Load materials into trailers and dumpsters.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Sort and bale various recyclables.
• Properly document work performed.
• Lift objects up to 25-50lbs.
