About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday-Thursday 1pm-9:30pm Friday 10am-6:30pm with training/onboarding occurring on 1st shift. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Eaton Aerospace Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. This position is based at our Grand Rapids, MI location. Material Handler holds the responsibility for managing inventory by executing a cycle count program, issuing & transferring of material, and performing other MRP transactions. In addition, the Material Handler services internal and external customers. Please note, certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Grand Rapids, MI facility.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders
  • Position includes standing, bending, twisting and the capability to lift / move up to 40lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience in logistics or related field.
  • ERP system experience will be preferred.
  • Prior experience with the following software is helpful: Excel, Oracle, FCS, WMS, Premium. Freight Database, UPS Website and Outlook.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience logistics or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support receiving, stock room, and shipping processes.
  • Accurately pull material from stock for issuance to production.
  • Receive in material from vendor into ERP system.
  • Process receipt of repair units into ERP system.
  • Accurately ship finished goods to customers and in-process material to outside vendors.
  • Verify count, packaging method, serial numbers, documentation, shipping methods and destination.
  • Generate and verify invoicing for shipped goods through MFG PRO, EDGE, and the Document Management systems.
  • Certified to ship Hazardous material and able to maintain the specialized labeling process.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
