About The Position

This is a fulltime night shift position working on a consistent 6:30 pm - 6:30 am rotating schedule. Pay Starts at $23.00 an hour $1 night shift and $1 weekend premium All benefits start day 1 of employment 8% company 401k match

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience preferred.
  • Training and certification to operate all applicable Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) required.
  • Cognitive Ability, Personality, and Motivation fit for Material Handler role as demonstrated through Wonderlic Select assessment.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, quality, and cleanliness in work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) and material handling equipment to move products in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Inspect all power equipment and complete safety inspection before operation.
  • Check in and out all inbound and outbound products, tagging products accordingly.
  • Perform various receiving functions such as unloading trucks and putting away products in the correct overstock location.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paper and electronic forms in a timely manner.
  • Consistently meet production demands and needs by moving products accurately and efficiently.
  • Always maintain inventory integrity and product safety.
  • Proactively communicate material issues involving deficiency to materials leadership.
  • Complete housekeeping and cleaning in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS.)
  • Stack empty pallets, clean and sweep work area, clean digester and compactor areas, and remove trash regularly.
  • Ensure housekeeping tasks are done regularly to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Immediately clean up after product damage or spill.
  • Actively participate in shift exchanges, work team meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify Critical Control Points (CCPs).
  • Follow Good Lab Practices (GLPs) and safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding proper labeling and use of chemicals.
  • This position may provide limited work directions to Case Stackers.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Separate liquid product waste from packaging waste and properly dispose of it.
  • This position requires the ability to work with dairy and nut products in addition to other related ingredients and allergens.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
