Requirements

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must successfully complete safety courses and obtain OSHA certification.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and perform simple math calculations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Must be able to work in a dusty environment with strong odors.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to follow established procedures.
  • Must have common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • One year background in a warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with dock personnel to ensure effective operation of shipping dock activities.
  • Receive inbound finished goods from co-packers and off-site storage facilities and perform required inventory control transactions.
  • Work with dock personnel to complete outbound loading orders.
  • Complete and process required inventory control transactions according to company/department standards, including scanning and printing tickets with barcode equipment.
  • Transport and store materials in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties in the warehouse areas, including sweeping, collecting trash, and collecting damaged product.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and ensure the equipment is in good working order by checking and reporting equipment problems.
  • Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines.
  • Work in other job positions under Materials Management as needed.
  • Accurately enter information into the time clock to record cost center changes, time in, and time out.
