About The Position

As a Material Handler at GXO, you will help provide sophisticated supply chain solutions to customers by moving material and inventory throughout the facility and supporting warehouse operations. The role involves using material handling equipment, performing product-related tasks, verifying and labeling orders, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This job requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking, and working in hot or cold warehouse conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
• Be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods.
• Be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
• Be able to handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Be able to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors, and other material handling equipment.
• Perform tasks that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products.
• Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Work safely to protect yourself and team members.
