Material Handler (Swing shift, Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am)

About The Position

Bigelow Tea is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations. The role ensures materials and finished products are moved, stored, and tracked accurately so production runs efficiently and the company's quality standards are maintained. The Material Handler works with raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, customer orders, and intercompany transfers, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety and quality requirements, and company safety policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling.
Forklift experience; training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

Safely transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility.
Stage materials to support production schedules and keep work areas stocked for upcoming shifts.
Receive and store incoming materials and accurately document materials and inventory transactions.
Pull, load, and ship customer orders and intercompany transfers.
Operate forklifts, RF scanners, and computer-based inventory systems.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
Complete receiving reports, forklift inspections, shipping logs, and inventory records.
Return unused materials from production and ensure finished goods are accurately ticketed and entered into inventory.
Build product displays and support warehouse and production operations as needed.
Cross-train to support other warehouse and facility functions.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety and quality requirements, and company safety policies.
