Material Handler

Requirements
- Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills
- Able to operate forklift safely.
- Shipping/Receiving experience.
- Distribution warehouse procedures.
- Physical strength, heavy equipment, non-climate environment, indoor/outdoor activity, swamping/dunnage/boxes/bags.
- Physical requirements: move around obstacles, wear required PPE, stand and walk for 8-12 hours, work near hot machinery, and climb, reach, squat, and bend
Responsibilities
- Fulfill orders by packaging materials and preparing shipment.
- Store materials in designated locations.
- Safely operate forklift/lift equipment for shipping, receiving, feeding/clearing production lines and work areas.
- Load/unload shipments.
- Report inventory receipts.
- Provide documentation to Shipping/Receiving Coordinator.
- Inspect shipments for damage.
- Communicate with carriers.
- Assist cycle counts.
- Understand material requirements for products during shift.
- Coordinate with production for material staging.
