About The Position

Under close supervision, the Material Handler ships, receives, stocks, and fulfills product orders at an Ulta Beauty distribution center while following company policies and guidelines. Tasks may include repacking, order selecting, picking, checking, packing, sorting, skip chasing, labeling, and box making, and may be performed in departments such as receiving, replenishment, retail pick/decant, ecommerce pick, retail put-to-store, ecommerce pack/sort, shipping, and quality assurance. The role typically uses RF scanners, step ladders, conveyor systems, sortation walls, and powered material-handling equipment. The position requires accurate work, compliance with safety and quality standards, flexibility across assigned tasks, effective teamwork, and adherence to Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, attendance, and production standards. The stated schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Mandatory overtime may be required during the week and/or weekend, as well as on holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) scanners.
Basic computer skills.
Reliability and dependability.
Basic math skills, including accurately adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
Ability to communicate and understand oral instructions and read and interpret work documents in English.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work the stated Friday–Sunday schedule and a flexible schedule that includes mandatory overtime during the week and/or weekend as well as holidays.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick and pack orders using established work practices.
Restock picking bins with product from reserve storage based on warehouse management system reporting.
Accurately sort, count, and receive merchandise.
Move product to and from pallet racks using powered material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
Use conveyor systems to build pallets of cartons for shipment.
Load or unload trucks, sorting and labeling product as needed.
Organize warehouse storage space effectively and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
Use RF or hand scanners to direct picking, packing, receiving, and moving work.
Use sortation walls and conveyor systems to complete daily tasks.
Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Adapt to daily task assignments and perform other general warehouse tasks as assigned.
Build professional peer and brand partner relationships that support collaborative guest service.
Partner with the Operations Manager when barriers slow down work.
Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for ongoing professional development.
Work effectively in a team environment and use basic interpersonal skills to accomplish tasks.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Follow safety guidelines, including hazard recognition, housekeeping, accident and near-miss reporting, proper use of safety equipment, and adherence to safety rules.
Perform other operational tasks as directed.
Follow attendance, quality, and production standards and instructions quickly, safely, and accurately.
Communicate effectively, understand oral instructions, and read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
