About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role supports warehouse distribution activities involving commercial HVAC parts in a clean, organized facility. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The listed pay is $21.67 per hour for the weekend shift and $32.50 per hour for overtime. Warehouse positions are paid weekly.

The Warehouse Clerk coordinates activities and communication across floor areas, provides administrative support, maintains records, and prepares reports. The position uses a computer and the location's WMS system. Ryder describes its workplace as team-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to continuous improvement. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of clerical or warehouse experience.
• One or more years of experience operating forklift equipment.
• One or more years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer, and other suppliers as needed.
• Use the location's WMS system to update area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports, memos, and summaries, often of a technical or confidential nature.
• Perform floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Perform basic administrative tasks for the area or shift and maintain filing systems and documents.
• Gather information from and provide information to floor employees in the supported area.
• Coordinate activities, meetings, and communication for the specific area or shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned depending on the area supported or location.
