About The Position

The Material Handler moves and marks finished goods and scrap foam from various machinery and departments. The role supports production and shipping by positioning foam on pallets, moving materials and products throughout the operation, and using material-handling equipment. The position is hourly and requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Consistently attend work and arrive on time.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.
• Observe safety procedures and policies, report potentially unsafe conditions to a supervisor, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Material-handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position foam onto pallets for production or shipping in various areas of operations.
• Move empty flats to the ends of conveyor lines.
• Unload leftover foam blocks from conveyors.
• Move finished and unfinished products throughout the operation as needed.
• Ensure all flats of material have tickets.
• Use hand trucks, buggies, or other material-handling equipment.
• Assist in the wrapping department as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
