Material Handler - 3rd Shift

About The Position

As a Material Handler at GXO, you will help provide supply chain solutions by moving materials and inventory throughout the facility. The role involves using material-handling equipment and handheld scanners, performing tasks such as packing, scanning, kitting, counting, order verification, and labeling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. GXO describes a supportive work environment with resources for employees to develop their careers.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
Be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
Be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods.
Be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
Be able to handle or manage tools or equipment.
Be able to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
Experience using a handheld scanner.
A positive attitude and ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
Use hand trucks, conveyors, and other material-handling equipment.
Perform tasks that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products.
Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner.
Adhere to the 7S program.
Maintain a clean environment.
Work safely to protect yourself and team members.
