Material Handler - Afternoon Shift

About The Position

As a Material Handler at GXO, you will help provide supply chain solutions to customers by moving material and inventory throughout the facility and performing related warehouse tasks. The role is based on an afternoon schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The posted hourly pay rate is $17.50 for work performed in California. Benefits for eligible employees include paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k), and other benefits. Applicants receiving a conditional offer may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. GXO states that employees may be asked to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
Stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods.
Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
Handle or manage tools or equipment.
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
Experience using a handheld scanner.
Positive attitude and ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
Use hand trucks, conveyors, and other material-handling equipment.
Perform tasks that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products.
Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner.
Adhere to the 7S program.
Maintain a clean environment.
Work safely to protect yourself and team members.
