Material Handler - Afternoon Shift

About The Position

As a Material Handler at GXO, you will support the team in providing supply chain solutions to customers by moving material and inventory throughout the facility. The role involves handling, verifying, labeling, packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment while following the 7S program. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The posted hourly pay rate is $17.50 for work performed in California; the company notes that pay may vary or change. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
Be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds.
Be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods.
Be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
Be able to handle or manage tools or equipment.
Be able to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
Experience using a handheld scanner.
A positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
Use hand trucks, conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products.
Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner.
Adhere to the 7S program.
Maintain a clean environment.
Work safely to protect yourself and team members.
