About The Position
Sheridan Liberty is hiring a full-time Bindery Material Handler to keep production moving by stocking and organizing finishing equipment. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Overtime and occasional weekends are required. On-the-job training is provided, and the role offers opportunities for career growth and development. The work involves preparing, handling, tracking, and securing materials for production and transit. It takes place in a fast-paced, noisy environment and requires standing and walking for extended periods, bending and twisting, and lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently. Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend and twist, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse layouts and ability to identify item codes.
- Ability to feed, stock, move, jog, and rotate production items.
- Experience using stock description forms and manual handling tools such as dollies, carts, hand trucks, and strapping tools.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards or bindery/production machinery.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders, identify required materials, and feed or pile down products at equipment.
- Jog products off the counter stacker and stack them neatly on skids for transfer between departments.
- Separate signatures, count or weigh materials, and record data on daily production sheets.
- Complete skid flags and packing slips; install strapping or bracing and attach identifying tags to secure materials for transit.
- Stack materials into bundles and secure them with banding equipment.
- Occasionally operate automated machinery, industrial trucks, or hoists.
