About The Position

The Material Handler supplies materials for the extrusion process and supports the Extruder Operator in producing high-quality extruded hot-melt adhesive efficiently and safely. The role involves operating and supporting production equipment, maintaining material flow so extruder operations do not interrupt coater operations, and filling in for the Extruder Operator as needed. Work includes handling 1,100-pound resin sacks and lifting 50-pound bags of materials. The position normally works on the production floor in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dust, ambient temperatures, chemicals, fumes, and high noise levels are typical. Hearing, eye, and foot protection are mandatory for plant activities. Heavy lifting may be required, and attention to detail is important because errors can shut down the hot-melt coating line.
