About The Position

Baxter is hiring a Material Handler I to support production of Baxject II products at its Cleveland facility. The role involves cleaning and setting up assembly equipment, verifying that machinery and supporting equipment are ready before production, and performing material-handling and production-line tasks. The position is part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting products intended to help save and sustain lives.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Meet visual acuity requirements documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity Procedure CL-01-01-037.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repetitively.
Ability to stand for long periods and walk frequently.
Audiometric testing is required.
Hearing protection is required.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to read, write, count, and use maintenance tools and a calculator.
Minor mechanical troubleshooting ability.
Ability to work overtime as required and during plant shutdowns and holidays as needed.
Must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Clean and set up Baxject II assembly equipment.
Start up machines and verify that machines and support equipment are ready before production.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Stack boxes on pallets.
Perform line clearances.
Inspect parts for defects.
Know and comply with plant and departmental health and safety regulations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision or management.
