About The Position

Starshield leverages SpaceX's Starlink technology and launch capability to support national security efforts. While Starlink is designed for consumer and commercial use, Starshield is designed for government use, with an initial focus on three areas: Earth observation, communications, and hosted payloads. Designed to meet diverse mission requirements, Starshield satellites are capable of integrating a wide variety of payloads, offering unique versatility to users. With the proven ability to iterate rapidly, SpaceX's unique full-stack approach in developing end-to-end systems, from launch vehicles to user terminals, enables the deployment of capabilities at scale with unprecedented speed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must be available for at least one of the following shifts: 1st Shift: Monday to Friday: 5AM – 3:30PM
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., unassisted
  • Must have valid California driver’s license
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be willing to work in an open-air environment, lacking temperature control
  • Applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

  • Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with barcode scanning to document material movement
  • Experience working with aircraft or automotive parts and assemblies
  • ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Support production/engineering with the movement of parts and equipment to support the master schedule
  • Physically move and expedite materials in support of production goals to meet work order completion dates
  • Verify all materials are packaged, loaded, and unloaded safely and securely
  • Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing, Starshield production, and other related stakeholders to resolve problems related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to: Vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts
