About The Position

The Material Handler supports manufacturing and award operations by completing work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources, while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. The role involves managing freight flow, maintaining organized work areas, and ensuring freight complies with cold-chain and species requirements. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., at the Fort Wayne, Indiana location. Responsibilities

Complete assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
Identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations and carry out assigned tasks.
Communicate progress and information; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
Manage freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment, such as single and double pallet jacks and lift pacers.
Identify, count, separate, combine, and scan freight.
Use a warehouse management system, terminal scales, and scanners; maintain records, logs, and forms.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, including implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying standards in business processes and practices.
Keep the work area organized and maintain freight flow by stacking and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack and/or powered equipment.
Monitor freight to ensure cold-chain and species compliance.
Work as a team, build trusting relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
Maintain integrity, ethics, and compliance; hold oneself and others accountable and support Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company.
