About The Position

Composition Brands is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our team in Greenville, Michigan. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials throughout our manufacturing operations by receiving, storing, transporting, and distributing materials needed to meet production schedules. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory management, supporting uninterrupted production, and delivering the high-quality refrigeration products our customers expect across our iconic brands, including Marvel, U-Line, and Viking Refrigeration.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support role
  • Proficiency using inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in material movement and recordkeeping
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely and effectively (up to 50 lbs)
  • Comfortable operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Pass a pre employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred
  • additional technical training or certification in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently unload finished product from assembly lines and transport to the warehouse for storage.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from transport vendors.
  • Efficiently distribute parts to workstations using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand carts.
  • Responsible for retrieving parts orders for assembly and sub-assembly areas.
  • Proactively work with area supervisors and keep assembly/sub-assembly stocking shelves full.
  • Utilize computer terminal to locate material and supplies in warehouse. Use computer to enter, access or retrieve data.
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms.
  • Read production schedules and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
