About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for storing, moving, and handling hazardous or non-hazardous materials. The role supports production by delivering replenishment parts and Kanban order cards, performing inventories and cycle counts, and operating material-handling equipment. This is a second-shift position.

Requirements

• Able to use and operate miscellaneous material-handling equipment.
• Must be certifiable as a forklift operator.
• Able to meet the physical demands of driving a forklift, including climbing onto and off a truck, sitting in the vehicle for extended periods, and turning the body to look in the direction of travel when driving in reverse.
• Detail-oriented.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds with assistance.
• Able to work in environmental extremes, including areas of excessive cold or heat.
• Able to see and hear within reasonably acceptable limits.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
• Six months to one year of forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver replenishment parts to designated work areas.
• Pick up and deliver Kanban order cards to the appropriate planner as noted on each card.
• Perform physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Use miscellaneous material-handling equipment, including dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts, to move materials.
• Perform other duties as needed and directed by the supervisor.
